Pricing and billing
- 1 free Standard workbook to start with your firm's email domain (one per domain; none with a free email address like Gmail), with its first return comparison.
- Workbooks, by the size of the return: 1040 Standard $79, Complex $149, Advanced $249; entity returns (1120-S, 1065, 1120) $99, $199, $299. The size is measured after the documents are organized: Standard is up to 15 documents, 3 K-1s and 2 brokerage statements; Complex up to 30, 10 and 5; Advanced anything larger. A larger return waits for you to approve its price before the workbook is built. Organizing, client emails and questions are included. Documents added after the workbook is built are measured too: if they move the engagement into a higher tier, you approve the difference before that round runs.
- Reprocess rounds: included with the workbook; there's no per-round charge.
- Your tier follows the whole engagement. The size is measured against everything received, including documents added after the workbook is built. Uploading part of a return now and the rest later doesn't hold the cheaper tier — if the engagement grows into a higher one, you're shown the difference and approve it before that round runs.
- Return comparisons: $29 per 1040 comparison and $15 per re-comparison; $49 per entity comparison and $25 per re-comparison.
How charges work. A firm admin saves a card in Firm settings → Billing (on Stripe's secure page; we never see the card number). When you start paid work, the price is held on the card. It's charged only when the workbook or comparison is delivered. If a run doesn't finish, the hold is released and nothing is charged. Stripe emails a receipt for every charge, and Billing shows your history.
Card declined? The engagement waits with a Pay and start button; replace the card and press it.
